Tunbridge Wells Mixed League 'A' Team

For the first time in the Club's history, the 'A' Team are the 2024 Tunbridge Wells League Champions!

We were top of the League from the first match week but went away to Wadhurst for our last match needing to win on 1 rink which would mean we would be level on points with Wadhurst A but with a huge shot difference.

It was a very tense evening and after losing on the first rink, we managed to win 17-16 on our second rink to secure the League title on the final bowl of the final match.

This is back to back Divisional wins after winning Division 2 in 2023 by 13 points with two matches to spare.  

The benefits of fielding a stable team week were huge and many congratulations to the team:  

Keith Merrin; Tom Carpenter and Andy Townson

Dave Cross; Neil Tomkinson and John Blackwell.

Plus are reserve players who covered holiday absences:

Terry Suckling; Mike Emery and Greg Dashper.
